I am doing a report for my College English class, and I decided to pick The House of David.  It seems very interesting and I always wanted to learn more on the HOD.  There is so much info on the HOD, It is taking a lot of time and still don't understand a lot of it.  I am young and never got to see the amusement parks and everything.  I have been there to the little cottages that your renting and the apartments but never in the day, see all the cool stuff you all had.  I'm sure it was so much fun, my parents remember it though, specially the ice cream, they say it was wonderful.  Good job with the web site, it helps me out with my report.  Hopefully I can come to the museum, to bad its not open now, it would probably help a lot with my report.  Hope to learn a lot, Good job!!!!

At 39 years of age, I have many fond memories of the House of David and City of David.  I grew up about one block from the colonies.

Also, I am a big collector of postcards from both colonies.

I think it's great that there are web sites like this one.

                            Sincerely,

I have been going to Sister Lakes, Michigan all my life.  I was always fascinated about the House of David/City of David.  My sister and I took the tour 2 years ago. The springs are beautiful!

I look forward to visiting again this spring/summer.  I am very glad that the property is being preserved.  I also look forward to the documentary.

Keep up the good work!!

I  have studied the history of the English prophets for many years. I am in contact with the few remaining members of the New and Latter House of Israel in the UK, and I own a first edition of the Flying Roll. I also have many of the publications of the Panacea Society. I am thrilled to know that it has not died out, and that you keep the hope alive.

Please keep me informed, and I want all your publications!

Fantastic Website thanks to Ron and the gang.  Always enjoying checking to see just what is going on at the colony.  Enjoy seeing more pictures of what's going on and information of when more things are going to happen.  Sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have been a member.  Still have to bring our postcards up and have you tell us who the different ones are!  Thanks again Ron and keep up the great work and time that you put into Mary's City of David.

Growing up in St. joseph, MI all my life before moving to Sedona, AZ 5 years ago, I have nothing but beautiful treasured memories of the House Of David, Silver Beach Amusement Park and concerts at Shadowland. What I would give to see the House of David built up and duplicated to its exact structure of the early days. What
a blessing to me and the communities this would be.

I enjoy this website and photos so much and hope that others will contribute photos to help us all keep our
memories alive.

Hello! I came to your site because I ran across an old picture of my grandmother's. Actually, it is a post card, on the back ISRAELITE HOUSE OF DAVID is printed. I'm not sure who everyone is, but I know they are part of my family. It was taken in 1918.

God bless.

I just wanted to tell that my great grandfather lived and died in the City of David (Noah Honicutt). I didn't really know much about my family history until my mother and grandmother went to Michigan to visit family (the Honicutts).  Now all this makes me want to see it first hand and truly discover my family's history.

Also I think your web site is great!  Thank you ...

Born and raised in Benton Harbor MI.  My sister performed many times on stage with Chic Bell, MC.  I used to ride all the cars and trains for free, because my sister performed there.  I didn't realize that anything existed there anymore.  Our family travels to MI every year to visit.  I am sure my wife and I will stop by and see what is happening at the House of David/City of David.

The site looks great! You've done a great job, both with the site and the work of the faith. I just had to take this opportunity to let others know what a pleasure it is to stop in.

The sincerity and hospitality shown by all of you is indeed rare and should be experienced when at all possible.

Your friend in the faith,

This is a most interesting and informative website.  Living about 4 miles from Andy Pafko's birthplace puts historic baseball in a conspicuous place. I find this type of journalism enjoyable.  Thanks much.

I am originally from Niles, Michigan.  My grandmother lived in Benton Harbor.  There were articles in the newspaper about her several years as she was the oldest resident in Benton Harbor.  She lived on Main street.  I have visited the House of David many times and loved it.  We used to stay in the cabins.  I know everything has changed.  I would love to go back sometime though and see Benton Harbor again.  Does anyone know if the Salvation Army church still exists in downtown Benton Harbor?  It was a very old but beautiful building back in the 50's and 60's when my grandmother and I attended.

Keep up the good work!

Our children have missed a great part of the history of Benton Harbor.

My father inlay Earl Boyersmith, grew up at the House of David, as well as his first wife Burnice Faye Mills.  His second wife, Mary Alice Owins, lived in Benton Harbor.

The family has a lot of good stories about living here.  I'm married to Earl's second son, Herbert Boyersmith. We live in Fontana, California and have 3 children

We just had the luncheon and tour this weekend and were impressed.  Everything exceeded out expectations.  Having been raised in the area and spending a lot of time each summer at the House of David, renewing old memories was a delight.  I learned things I never knew about this historic site.  Well worth the time!!  It would have been a worthwhile visit even if I hadn't known anything about the area.  We plan further visits.

Absolutely one of the most fabulous websites in existence.  My grand uncle and his family were members during the thirties and forward.  My family stories have been extremely negative, but having visited the site, I believe my grand uncle and his family were part of a great family.  I will make every endeavor to visit the intriguing campus and all its nooks and crannies.  Keep up the good work.
